We’ve officially reached that annoying time of year where it’s sweater weather in the morning, but by midday you die from a heatstroke.

Wombats are second largest marsupials in Australia. Despite their size, they are fast runners and can run 40 km per hour, but only for short distances. Their diet mainly consist of grasses and roots.

Joel Birch. Hey guys meet Joel, he’s the frontman for a band called The Amity Affliction. I first met him and the rest of the lads in his band back on warped tour last year. Aside from knowing that their drummer got hit in the eye with a drumstick and had to leave the tour though, I didn’t know much about him or his band. Fast forward to this year and not much has changed. Maybe it’s because I’m too busy with work to hang out but to me Joel is still like a mythical uplifting encouraging beast. I see him on stage perform and speak to kids and show his gratitude but after that he disappears. Sometimes I think that I see him walking around but it could just be my imagination. This all changed however when I was in Cleveland, Ohio. I had left the venue to take a photo when to my surprise Joel jumps out of his bus and asks to take a picture with the #suicidesign. I immediately said yes but in my head I was saying (oh snap he’s actually real, like here he is in the flesh, I’m so stoked.) Anyway, we walked on over away from the bus, took the photo where I thought looked best and then thanked him for his time. The people I usually photograph are those that wish to help and that’s amazing, but very rarely do I get the opportunity to work with someone who’s experienced what I’m talking about first hand. I won’t elaborate on Joel’s story because it’s his story to tell and not mine. I will however say that every word he speaks on stage is real and unscripted. I’ve toured enough to know the difference and I’m blessed to have had the opportunity to travel along side someone who pours their heart out on stage. Not someone who has this prepared essay that they give every night, not someone who says every show is the best of tour, but someone who actually cares.
i had never seen this posted with Carlos’s caption before, so much respect for this guy and what he does
